Context
We're looking for a new Project Manager / Train Control Expert in our West Coast Train Control Group to help drive the objectives and challenges our valued clients have trusted us to solve them.
As a SYSTRA US Project Manager / Train Control Expert you will join a world-class team of high-performing engineers, designers, drafters and others who work collectively to ensure client projects continue to thrive while remaining on track and budget.
Missions/Main Duties
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Deployment Team, including the Phase execution Managers, the T&C Manager, Migration Phase Design Reviews, System Access and other Field logistics.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are reviewed on schedule, within scope, and aligned with Contract requirements (electrical, mechanical, civil, infrastructure).
  • Part of the Management Team actively participates in the Risk Management Team to provide update to the risk register, QA/QC Team, CCMC, and report to the Chief Infrastructure Delivery Officer.
  • Actively engage with the Contractor and the Stakeholders to remove roadblocks for the construction design, the construction, and the testing.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, serving as SYSTRA's local primary point of contact to ensure alignment, transparency and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of monthly reports, including financial tracking and invoice coordination with SYSTRA management

Profile/Skills
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Civil engineering, Computer Science or related field from an ABET-accredited program
  • 15+ years of transit brownfield projects experience, including managing track access and relationships with stakeholders, and interface and integration management between new and legacy systems.
  • Experience with CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) / PTC (Positive Train Control) / ATC (Automatic Train Control) systems specific to Installation and Testing activities
  • Deep understanding of railway signaling principles (route locking, switch point detection, and signal aspect sequences), Solid State Interlockings (SSIs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and familiar with the federal regulations (FRA) along with industry standards (AREMA) regarding rail safety and automated train control
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams for large scale rail infrastructure projects (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters's Degree in Electrical/Civil engineering, Computer Science or related field from an ABET-accredited program is preferred, not required

Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, not required

Salary Range: $200,000 - $230,000, SYSTRA USA is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
