WHAT EXACTLY IS A PACKAGING OPERATOR? Our Boston Packaging Operators stand at the core of what we do as a brewery. As a member of our hard-working packaging team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and efficiency of our products before they make their way to wholesalers, retailers, and guests across New England. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on, solving problems in real time, learning equipment and systems, and being part of a fast-paced production environment.   • Previous manufacturing, packaging, production, warehouse, food & beverage, brewery, or other industrial experience strongly preferred
  • Genuine enthusiasm for craft beer and manufacturing operations
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
  • Mechanically inclined and comfortable troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Technically savvy with the ability to learn new systems and processes
  • Ability to safely operate packaging equipment and support line changeovers
  • Comfortable making machine adjustments and assisting with basic maintenance tasks
  • Ability to identify quality concerns quickly and react proactively
  • Comfortable working around high-speed automated equipment and conveyor systems
  • Strong awareness of workplace safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow SOPs, lockout/tagout procedures, and production protocols
  • Maintain accurate production logs and quality documentation

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Safely and efficiently operate packaging equipment and production lines
  • Monitor product quality and ensure packaging standards are consistently met
  • Perform quality control checks throughout production runs
  • Accurately complete production logs and reporting paperwork
  • Track raw materials throughout packaging runs
  • Assist with line setup, changeovers, and equipment adjustments
  • Maintain clean and sanitary equipment and workspaces
  • Support department goals related to safety, quality, efficiency, and cost
  • Assist with troubleshooting and operational adjustments during production
  • Work collaboratively with Packaging, Brewing, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams
  • Follow all B1C SOPs, GMPs, and safety procedures

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial equipment
  • Experience working in fast-paced production or manufacturing environments preferred
  • Ability to remain focused and organized while balancing speed and quality
  • Comfortable working on your feet in a physically active environment
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs
  • Strong work ethic and dependability
  • Comfortable working flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
