The Mechanical Designer I at Quanta Power Solutions supports the design and development of mechanical products, equipment, and systems. This role involves preparing engineering drawings, 3D models, bills of materials (BOMs), and design documentation while ensuring compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.


  • Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or Inventor.
  • Assist engineers in designing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
  • Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Review designs for accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Support prototype development, testing, and design validation activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and project teams.
  • Maintain design documentation and engineering change records.
  • Participate in design reviews and implement feedback from senior team members.
  • Follow company safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of mechanical design experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Inventor, or similar).
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Basic knowledge of materials, mechanical systems, and fabrication methods.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
