Job description

Creative Solutions Group (CSG) is hiring a CNC Router Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has prior experience in CNC machining for cabinetry or millwork. They will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining a 3-axis C.R. Onsrud router with an OSAI controller. The role requires the ability to read and interpret CAD files, set up and run CNC jobs efficiently, and perform quality control to ensure parts meet standards.

Day Shift:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (some overtime & weekends required).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Program CNC router jobs using RouterCim software.
  • Interpret AutoCAD drawings and translate them into CNC programs.
  • Set up and operate a 3-axis C.R. Onsrud router with OSAI controller.
  • Load and secure sheet stock materials onto the machine (up to 75 lbs).
  • Perform in-process and final part inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance (PM) and basic troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and shop team to meet production deadlines.
  • Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
  • Uphold professionalism by providing courteous customer service to employees, visitors, clients, and vendors.

Qualifications:
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD (required).
  • Experience programming with RouterCim (preferred).
  • Previous CNC router or CNC machining experience (cabinetry, millwork, or related fields preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Physical ability to lift sheet stock (up to 75 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work overtime/weekends when required.
  • Experience with a wide range of materials essential (i.e. aluminum, various types of plywood, MDF, Melamine, Di bond, acrylic).
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, self-motivated, excellent attendance habits, be adaptable, and work well in a fast-paced environment.
