Job description

Job Title: AutoCAD Drafter/Designer
Location: Raynham, MA / Bridgewater, MA
Job Type: Contract (6 months, potential for extension)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter/Designer to support the update and maintenance of building drawings for a large mixed-use manufacturing and warehouse facility. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that all architectural, electrical, plumbing, equipment, and P&ID drawings remain accurate and current.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update site master drawings based on project changes and modifications.
  • Revise architectural layouts, electrical schematics, plumbing designs, and equipment placement diagrams.
  • Maintain and update safety-related documents such as egress paths, shelter locations, and fire extinguisher placements.
  • Collaborate with the facilities team to verify and integrate machine drawings with existing databases.
  • Perform regular on-site visits (4 5 days per week) to collect data and validate drawings.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including working in designated safety zones and on the roof when necessary.
  • Manage workload independently and meet project timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting/design software.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with P&ID documentation and safety drawing standards.
  • Ability to interpret project specifications and incorporate them into master site drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • On-site position in a manufacturing facility.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, eye protection, and safety shoes is required.
