Job description

Our busy shop is seeking an experienced lube technician to join our automotive service team. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks and fills, tire rotations, light bulb replacements, and inspections.


This position requires some knowledge of the mechanical workings of different types of automobiles. Previous experience as a lube technician or automotive technician is desired. Compensation:

$38,500 - $43,000


Responsibilities:
  • Record all service operations, as well as any installations or replacements of parts
  • Oversee shop inventories by tracking the use of oil and parts and placing new orders for supplies as necessary
  • Make sure all work areas and the shop floor are clean, and that all safety rules are observed
  • Drain and refill engine oil, as well as inspect and top off transmission, brake, power steering, and coolant fluids, on customer vehicles
  • Provide suggestions for additional maintenance depending on the vehicle's age, mileage, and other factors
  • Perform accurate digital vehicle inspections, highlighting the good and areas of needed service or repair

Qualifications:
  • Lube technician experience of one or more years or related automotive experience is preferred
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • This position requires excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to operate vehicle lifts, tools, and other garage equipment safely
