Food Connect Driver- Greater Philadelphia Area
Rate per route: $8 per drop off/ $35 per hour
Start Date: 03/16
Coverage Areas: Philadelphia and neighboring counties (Montgomery and Delaware Counties)
Time: 9:00am- 5:00pm, Mondays through Fridays
What We're Looking For:
We are looking to partner with an Independent Contractors who are responsible and reliable to transport food donations and meal deliveries to various locations in and around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We need compassionate, civic-minded individuals with strong interpersonal skills to join our team and help support food rescue efforts and home deliveries.
What Your Day Will Look Like as an Independent Contractor with Food Connect:
As a Food Connect Independent Contractor, your busy day may take you from picking up prepared food from a local restaurant and delivering much-needed resources to a community shelter to picking up non-perishable food boxes to drop them off at the homes of vulnerable seniors. By partnering with us, you will be on the front lines of hunger relief efforts and significantly impact the community.
Driver Requirements:
• 18 years or older• Valid driver's license• Own a Cargo Van or Sprinter Van• Current auto insurance• Comfortable using mobile apps & technology• Own a smartphone• Live in the Lehigh Valley area (or surrounding counties)• Able to lift at least 50 lbs• Pass an MVR check (Motor Vehicle Record)• Pass a background check
