What You'll Do
As a Used Vehicle Service Technician, you'll inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet dealership and manufacturer standards.
Vehicle Inspection & Diagnostics
  • Thoroughly inspect used vehicles for maintenance, safety concerns, and repair needs
  • Test-drive vehicles and evaluate performance using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance issues accurately
  • Identify repair recommendations and document findings clearly

Repairs & Reconditioning
  • Perform repairs and maintenance efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Complete manufacturer warranty repairs according to factory specifications when applicable
  • Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards before vehicle delivery

Team Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with Used Vehicle Service Advisors and management teams
  • Communicate repair recommendations and vehicle conditions clearly and professionally
  • Document repair procedures and inspection results accurately
  • Maintain a productive and positive working relationship with technicians, advisors, and management

Quality & Customer Experience
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship with attention to detail
  • Help ensure customers receive reliable, fully reconditioned vehicles
  • Maintain productivity while meeting dealership quality standards
  • Contribute to a positive customer ownership experience through thorough vehicle preparation
