K&R Truck Sales and West Michigan International (WMI) are seeking a dedicated Rim Reconditioning Technician to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a supportive, family-owned company that values its employees. With locations across West Michigan, we pride ourselves on providing top-notch service and support to our customers. The Rim Reconditioning Technician plays a crucial role in the tire manufacturing and recycling process, ensuring the quality and safety of retreaded tires. This position involves repairing, refinishing, and restoring rims. Join us and be part of a team that makes a difference in the transportation industry.

Responsibilities
  • Powder coating wheels
  • Buff and polish rims to restore their original condition
  • Operate specialized machinery and tools for rim reconditioning
  • Ensure all quality and safety standards are met
  • Perform other duties as necessary to support the team
  • Shift: 6am - 2pm or until production is finished
Qualifications
  • Ability to learn and operate facility equipment and machinery
  • Requires standing and walking, with some bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
  • Ability to occasionally move and handle heavy rims weighing up to 50lbs
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures - hot and cold
