Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dependable Auto Parts Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be the face of our company on the road, delivering auto parts efficiently and safely to our valued customers. Your enthusiasm for excellent customer service, combined with your driving skills and knowledge of warehouse operations, will ensure timely deliveries and satisfied clients. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being on the move, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Summary/Objective: The Delivery Driver Associates are the face of the business. They deliver parts to our customers and pick up returns from customers. They may also deliver parts to and from our other CPW locations. Our drivers are the key to our motto of “Right Parts, Right Price, Right Now.” Without our drivers the parts would not be delivered right now.

Responsibilities:
  • Safety driving always.
  • Always represent yourself in a professional manner.
  • Follow all safety driving rules when driving the vehicle; this includes no cell phones or other devices while driving.
  • NO SMOKING IN THE VEHICLE AT ALL
  • No personal passengers in company vehicles.
  • Company vehicles are not to be used for personal use unless given permission by management.
  • All accidents must be reported immediately. If you receive a ticket off the clock, this must be reported to Human Resources the next day.
  • Be courteous to all other drivers on the road.
  • Adhere to Elite Extra software.
  • Drivers are not to leave until they are clear that the invoices they are taking are assigned to them and the tablet displays the routes.
  • Navigate designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws.
  • When arriving at a customer to drop off parts, be sure not to park your vehicle where it will block anything.
  • When delivering parts ask the customer if they have any returns.
  • Do not deliver products to a customer without the proper paperwork.
  • Make sure the customer signs all invoices charged. Turn in all monies and invoices promptly.
  • Write up all returns legibly as per policy and procedures.
  • Always thank the customer for their business.
  • Call in parts before leaving when applicable.
  • Complete meal breaks before 3pm
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections sheets.
  • Keep vehicles clean, turn in keys at the end of each shift.
  • When there is any downtime with deliveries, all drivers will be stocking parts, cycle counting and pulling parts.
  • Supervisory Responsibility

    This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a store front and warehouse environment.

    Physical Demands

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    This is largely a physical role; This would require the ability to lift product, unload product manually and with a tow motor, driving company vehicles, bending or standing on a ladder as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products up to 50 pounds.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time or part-time position, and hours of work will vary by position and department when manager is off or as business needs dictate.

    Travel

    Travel is expected with this position.

    Required Education and Experience

    High school diploma or GED and previous warehouse experience and a clean driving record that is acceptable to our company car insurance.
