Job description

Job Summary
Bedard Bros Auto Sales is seeking a reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented Service Technician to join our team of professionals. The primary responsibilities of the Service Technician are to perform repairs, maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on automobiles in accordance with the company’s quality standards. The Technician will be expected to work both independently and under the guidance of the Bedard Bros Auto Sales Manager.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $17 to $39 per hour, paid weekly.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair and maintain vehicle components, systems, and components (electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, brakes, tune-up etc.).
- Construct and maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
- Test and diagnose components of motor vehicle systems using computerized and other diagnostic tools.
- Replenish vehicle fluids, such as transmission oil, engine oil, brake fluid and antifreeze as prescribed.
- Perform safety checks on vehicles and ensure they meet Bedard Bros Auto Sales standards.
- Maintain records and logs for research, parts, and services provided.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on vehicles.


Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Service Technician in the auto industry preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to use electronic/computerized diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, being able to troubleshoot and diagnose vehicle issues efficiently and accurately.
- Knowledge of proper maintenance, repair and operation of a motor vehicle.
