Job description

Job Summary:
Bright Bay Auto Group, located in Bay Shore, New York, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Detailer for our auto dealership. This is a full-time, salaried position in the Auto industry for a skilled technician or contractor. The detailer will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles on our lot are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, providing our customers with a positive and memorable experience.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, individual contributor role with a competitive salary and benefits package. This includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, paid time off, and employee discounts on vehicles and services.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and detail all vehicles on the dealership lot, both new and used, ensuring they are in pristine condition for our customers
- Vacuum, shampoo, and steam clean carpets, upholstery, and other interior components of vehicles
- Wash and wax the exterior of vehicles, including windows, rims, and tires
- Inspect and touch-up paint as needed to maintain a flawless appearance
- Ensure all vehicle inventory is properly stocked and organized on the lot
- Collaborate with sales and service departments to prioritize which vehicles need to be detailed first
- Keep track of and communicate any vehicle maintenance or repairs needed to management
- Keep the detailing area clean and organized at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a detailer or in a related field (e.g. vehicle cleaning, auto repair, etc.)
- Knowledge of automotive cleaning products and techniques
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness in all vehicles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
