SCOPE:
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating revenue and meeting sales targets by establishing and maintaining relationships with existing agencies while also seeking out and acquiring new business opportunities. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of insurance products and will aim to offer independent agencies tailored solutions that meet their unique needs. Candidate must be able to work from the Southern Georgia area.
Preferred candidate will work from the Southern Georgia area, Savannah, Valdosta and Albany.
DUTIES:
  • Initiate contact with independent agencies within your designated territory.
  • Identify decision makers and key contacts within the agency.
  • Ensure that agencies are aware of our contact information and the departments responsible for specific inquiries.
  • Familiarize yourself with the agency's history and operations.

  • Analyze the agency's size, business volume, target customer base, lead generation methods, and more.
  • Understand any existing barriers and challenges that may hinder adopting our products/services.
  • Utilize the insights gathered during discovery to position our products and services effectively.
  • Highlight features and benefits that align with the agency's specific needs and goals.
  • Establish clear commitments mutually agreed upon by both parties.
  • Define specific timelines and measurable outcomes for the agreed-upon commitment.
  • Ensure that results are trackable and measurable.
  • Conduct 16-20 unique in-person sales calls per week.
  • Allocate sufficient time for each sales call, typically lasting 1 hour.
  • Manage schedule to allow for efficient travel between appointments and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain a shared calendar with the team to ensure transparency and avoid duplicating efforts.
  • Document all visits and include detailed notes in the corresponding calendar event within 24 hours of the visit.

EDUCATION:
  • Associate degree in business, Communications, Marketing, a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • 220 license preferred but not required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • 3 years of proven experience in field sales or a related role with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Bilingual fluency preferred but not required: English and Spanish
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales-related technologies.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and goal-oriented individual with a passion for sales.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time within the assigned territory.
