Welcome to South Florida Auto Auction, where automotive expertise meets fast-paced excitement in sunny South Florida! We're a premier dealer-only auto auction serving the greater Fort Lauderdale area and beyond, and honestly, we’re pretty proud of what we’ve built. Located at 3500 NW 21st Street in Lauderdale Lakes, we feature over 1000+ vehicles running through our lanes every Wednesday, creating a dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.

We're not just about cars, we're about creating a positive workplace where employees, dealers, and customers feel valued every day. Our motto captures it perfectly: "Service Is What We Do Best!"

What Makes This Role Special

This isn't your typical shop gig. Forget the same six cars a week and a quiet waiting room. Here, you'll work in a fast-paced, high-volume auction environment where no two days look alike. Experienced in mechanical and electrical diagnostics, engine and transmission repairs, ABS brake bleeds, relearn protocols, tire mounting, and everything in between; you'll be the reason hundreds of vehicles cross our auction block in top condition every week. You're not just fixing cars; you're keeping an entire operation moving.

If you thrive under pressure, take pride in quality work, and are ready to be an essential part of a team that runs on precision and speed, South Florida Auto Auction is ready for you.

  • Support Lot Crews to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Maintain shop, equipment and tools in excellent condition

What We're Looking For (The Must-Haves)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of automotive mechanic experience (this is the big one!) and some experience with vehicle diagnostics
  • ASE & OEM certifications (not required, but we'd be impressed!)
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to pass our background check and drug screening
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
  • Understanding of basic automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, electrical)
  • Ability to quickly identify common vehicle issues
  • Comfortable using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license and ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions
  • Must possess a personal set of tools required for the role
  • Basic computer skills for recording vehicle conditions and repairs
  • Ability to coordinate with auction staff, drivers, and management
  • Comfort working on various makes, models, and vehicle types

The Good Stuff (AKA Your Compensation & Perks!)

  • Competitive wage based on experience and certifications

Benefits That Actually Matter:

  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching (because future you will thank us!)

  • Employee assistance program (we're here for you beyond work too)

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, with Wednesday auction day support (weekends are yours!)
