RBM OF ATLANTA AUTOMOTIVE DETAILER

Essential Job Duties:

  • Wash vehicle exterior with “soft touch’ automated car wash (wash vehicle exterior, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes with special finish and VIP vehicles).
  • Prep vehicle exterior: clean bumpers, grill, lower body panels, rocker panels & fender wells with pressure washer.
  • Clean brake dust from wheels.
  • Prepare exterior for hand waxing.  Remove any minor foreign over sprays from vehicle exterior with rubbing clay.
  • Clean door jams, windows – interior & exterior, and interior & exterior mirrors.
  • Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect surface and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine.
  • Vacuum interior or vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.
  • Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
  • Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot- and stain- resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
  • Clean engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime.
  • Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following recommendations of the product's manufacturer.
  • Proactively communicate potential issues with Detail Manager, Assistant Detail Manager, Service Manager, Service Director, Service Advisors, Sales Manager, other management, and other departments in order to provide the best possible customer experience and fix it right the first time.
  • Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
  • Maintain professional appearance and work space.
  • Complete required MB and dealership training. 
  • Abide by company policy, departmental best practices and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Prior to being employed, applicants for employment must participate in RBM’s normal screening process which includes: completing a full employment application; satisfactory criminal, credit and driving records checks (where applicable); in-person interviews and other inquiries.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Authorized to work in the USA for any employer.
  • Basic communication and problem solving skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills using American units of measure.
  • Physical demands include: constantly position body and move in order to retrieve vehicles from lot, drive to carwash, and complete job duties; detect and identify vehicle issues and shop safety concerns; exert force to move/manipulate objects (up to 50lbs occasionally, 30lbs frequently, 10lbs constantly); operate tools and equipment; repetitive motion
  • Work is conducted inside, outside, and in a shop environment in proximity to moving vehicles, mechanical equipment, with exposure to chemicals, and moderate to loud noise levels.
