Auto Detailer Job Description

The Auto Detailer is responsible for safely operating the company van between assigned job sites and providing high-quality mobile detailing services on vehicles scheduled for each workday. Employees are expected to represent the company professionally while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining company standards.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Safely drive the company van to and from assigned job sites.
  • Buff

  • keep van organized

  • land new clients
  • Review and complete all vehicles listed on the daily work schedule.
  • Wash, decontaminate, clay, polish, wax, and apply paint sealants as required.
  • Vacuum, shampoo, steam clean, and detail vehicle interiors.
  • Clean windows, wheels, tires, wheel wells, and engine bays when included in the service package.
  • Apply ceramic coatings and other protective products when trained and assigned.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after each service to ensure quality workmanship.
  • Maintain all detailing equipment, tools, chemicals, and supplies in clean working condition.
  • Keep the company van clean, organized, fully stocked, and report any maintenance issues immediately.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate professionally with customers and answer questions courteously.
  • Accurately clock in and out, complete job documentation, and report any customer concerns or vehicle damage immediately.
  • Work efficiently while meeting company quality standards and daily production goals.
  • Assist fellow team members when needed to complete jobs on time.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent the company in a positive manner at all times.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior auto detailing experience is preferred but not required. Training may be provided for the right candidate.
