Job description

Volkswagen of Stamford is looking for a highly motivated Service Manager to manage our auto service, repair shop operation. We are a family owned & operated, high volume dealership. Large workspace with multiple bays, top-notch equipment and support, excellent pay and benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off and 401K

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a service advisor and/or technician, as well as an extensive technical background with 10 years or more of dealership experience.
  • Excellent communication skills to assist customers, employees and vendors.
  • Ability to maintain profitability of the dealership service operation while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Committed to staying on top of dealership and Company standards and complying with government regulations.
  • Experience with dealership management systems; CDK preferred.
  • Professional certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing Service Department operations with maximum customer focus and efficient, high-quality repairs while supervising a team of skilled Technicians and Service Consultants.
  • Communicating with customers and staff to resolve issues that relate to service to enure customer satisfaction
  • Managing warranty administration & mentoring and training Service Consultants and Technicians
  • Monitoring and managing dealership service communications
  • Assist in the hiring process and performance management of Service Advisors and Technicians
