Crossing Rivers Health is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join our extraordinary team!
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and a strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board of Directors. This role is responsible for the overall financial integrity, operational performance, and long-term sustainability of Crossing Rivers Health.
The CFO will lead all financial functions of the organization while ensuring strong internal controls, audit readiness, and transparent, accurate financial reporting. This position plays a critical role in navigating the complexities of rural healthcare reimbursement and supporting continued growth, stability, and community impact.
In addition, the CFO provides leadership and oversight for assigned operational departments, ensuring alignment between financial performance, operational efficiency, and organizational strategy.
The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on leadership style, strong financial discipline, and a demonstrated ability to strengthen processes, controls, and organizational trust.

We are seeking a well-rounded candidate with experience and familiarity in a rural, critical access hospital and clinic setting. The Chief Financial Officer will play a key role in advancing our mission to provide exceptional healthcare and must demonstrate the following competencies:

Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Field of Study: Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Master's Degree Preferred, Field of Study: Accounting, Finance or related field

Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting preferred
  • 3-5 years in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, VP Finance, or Controller), highly preferred
  • Healthcare finance experience required; Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare experience strongly preferred

Computer Skills
  • Computer proficiency is a must to include Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Certifications & Licenses
  • Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) preferred
  • CPA preferred
