Position Overview:
Courtesy Chevrolet, a Courtesy Automotive Group dealership, is seeking an Autobody Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicle bodies and frames to their original specifications. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of vehicles following accidents or collisions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of vehicle damage and frame alignment using diagnostic equipment and visual inspection techniques.
  • Repairing and realigning vehicle frames and body components to manufacturer specifications.
  • Performing welding, cutting, and other metalworking tasks to repair damaged vehicle structures.
  • Removing, repairing, and replacing damaged panels, bumpers, fenders, and other body components.
  • Utilizing computerized measuring systems and alignment tools to ensure precise repairs.
  • Following safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicating effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, and other team members regarding repair processes and timelines.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in automotive body repair.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience
  • Must have transportation and your own tools
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal automotive body repair program or apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Body Frame Technician or similar role.
  • Proficiency in welding, metalworking, and frame straightening techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle construction, repair methods, and materials.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment, computerized measuring systems, and alignment tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check.
