Job description

Position Summary

The Auto Body Parts Coordinator is responsible for ensuring parts and material are correct and get assigned to the right job assignment and/or technician, by mirror-matching parts to ensure they are correct. Must keep parts carts in order and order/receive parts as necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately identify parts necessary to complete repairs in the body shop
  • Work with other parts team managers to ensure sales goals and GP% are met
  • Maintain purchase orders to ensure vendors are delivering parts on time
  • Receive parts and inspect for quality and accuracy and mirror matching parts
  • Ensure timely distribution to the shop in accordance with the production schedule
  • Maintain accurate accounting record for purchased and/or returned part
  • Maintaining Paint Material and ensuring gross profit margins are obtained
  • Assisting EBP and technicians by keeping parts carts organized
  • Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in a Body Shop Parts Department a plus
  • Solid problemsolving abilities
  • Above average computer proficiency
  • Ability to keep up and succeed in fast paced working environment
  • Knowledge of automotive systems
  • Clean background check, Valid drivers license
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and understanding that it is a priority
  • Ability to handle difficult situations professionally and in a nonconfrontational manner.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and fulfill Management duties
  • High School graduate or equivalent

    Position is based in a normal shop environment. Frequent physical activity such as kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping, lifting above shoulders is a part of daily activity. Must be able to push/pull parts carts and cars with assistance. Working environment consists of: Exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, along with high levels of noise. Dalton Collision enforces the Mandatory requirement to wear protective equipment. Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment. Subject to weather conditions both inside and outside. Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.
