Job description

Job Title: Auto Body Estimator / Collision Repair Estimator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Auto Body Estimator to join our collision repair team. This role is responsible for writing accurate repair estimates, working directly with customers and insurance companies, and helping manage repairs from intake through delivery. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect vehicles and write accurate collision repair estimates using estimating software (CCC, Mitchell, Audatex, etc.)

  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair processes, timelines, and insurance procedures

  • Work directly with insurance adjusters to negotiate repairs and supplements

  • Perform teardown inspections and write supplements as needed

  • Coordinate with technicians and parts vendors to ensure proper repairs

  • Track repair progress and keep customers informed throughout the process

  • Review completed repairs to ensure quality and completeness before delivery

  • Maintain organized repair files and documentation

  • Uphold shop standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an auto body estimator or in collision repair (preferred)

  • Knowledge of collision repair processes and materials

  • Experience with estimating software (CCC preferred)
