Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Leads the daily operations, strategic growth, and administrative oversight of the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD), including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and Autism Diagnostic programs across multiple locations. Partners with clinical leaders to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care while driving operational excellence, workforce engagement, financial performance, and program development.

Manages the operations of Henry Ford Health System's Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities Therapy program. Develops and coordinates the applied behavior analysis (ABA) intervention programs for children with autism and related disabilities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attain and maintain patient capacity at each Therapy sites
  • Coordinate service delivery between Board Certified Behavior Analysts
  • ย Ensure efficient use of CADD time, supplies, and resources
  • ย Coordinate clinical meetings between CADD sites, supervisors, and staff
  • ย Lead discussions regarding therapy system development and therapy implementationย 
  • Delegate production tasks to BCBA's and staff in order to meet program goals
  • ย Develop, implement, and train staff in day to day clinical processes
  • ย Gather information from CADD employees and make clinic operations decisions
  • ย Coordinate trainings for CADD employees
  • ย Supervise and train supervisors
  • ย Supervise and mentor consultants and therapists
  • ย Conduct case reviews
  • ย Train and review staff evaluations and performance
  • ย Facilitate development of therapy programs to be implemented with BCBA's
  • ย Ensure highest quality of service delivery: meet with BCBA's to set and monitor service delivery standards.
  • ย Help develop parent surveys regarding quality of services
  • ย Stay up-to-date on billing information and ensure the fidelity of billing practices across sites
  • ย Meet monthly with BCBA's to review staff performance
  • ย Standardize the service delivery process and procedures
  • ย Work with BCBA's to implement support or development plans for staff and/or formal corrective action when needed
  • Develop and oversee all behavioral treatment programs to meet the varied needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) TITLE: Manager-CADD Behavioral Analysts L01187 Page: 2 of 3
  • ย Direct supervision of treatment activities; frequency of supervision determined on a case-by-case basis
  • ย Direct intervention with the child, as needed, when therapist is unable to manage child behaviors, and/or little treatment progress is documented, and to model more effective intervention strategies.
  • ย To oversee all data driven processes related to progress documentation and to advise changes to treatment planning when progress is lacking
  • ย Consult with other service providers for patients (speech pathologists, occupational therapists, pediatricians, psychiatrists, etc.) to collaborate and coordinate services. Twice monthly consultation with Licensed Psychologist/Neuropsychologist to review all child behavioral plans and family/caregiver concerns
  • ย Presentation of program to service providers within the health system and the community at large via in-services, workshops and development of promotional materials.
  • ย Design and implement training seminars for student interns and therapists
  • ย Assist in resolving billing disputes with employees and other HFH entities.
  • ย Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Master's degree in a developmental field (e.g., education, psychology, speech language) is required.
  • ย At least three years of experience of providing direct ABA services to children with autism spectrum disorders and supervision of therapists. Experience consulting with families, educational, and clinical staff is desired. Five years preferred.
  • ย Self-motivated, highly organized individual.
  • ย Able to work independently but also within a team environment.
  • ย Willingness to work non-traditional hours and be available by phone/email, as needed by clinical staff and CADD Director

ย CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

BCBA licensure required
