Familiarity with healthcare management software, electronic medical records (EMR) systems, and payer portals is commonly required. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication are essential soft skills for coordinating with providers and payers. These competencies ensure timely and accurate processing of authorizations, which is critical for patient care continuity and efficient revenue cycle management.
