The Cost Estimator will work with Project Managers, Facility Operations Specialists and other stakeholders to collect and analyze data in order to estimate the time, money, materials or labor required for new construction, modification, renovation or repair of owned or leased fixed facilities.


  • Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses
  • Travel (as needed) to jobsites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors 
  • Read blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
  • Create estimates in accordance with applicable Library of Design Standards
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, industry and contractors on estimates
  • Consult with industry experts and documentation to determine estimates and resolve issues
  • Use computer software to calculate estimates 
  • Recommend most effective means to provide construction
  • Assist with modifications of project plans and schedules for the duration of the project

  • Bachelors Degree or higher 
  • At least 8 years’ experience
  • Demonstrated experience with RS Means
  • Familiarity with MS Office products
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CBP Suitability
  • US Citizenship is required
