Join us in our support to the US Space Force (HQ USSF) Commercial Satellite Communication (COMSATCOM) Office (CSCO), where you will help shape the future of assured, resilient SATCOM for our warfighters and mission partners. As a key member of a highly collaborative, mission-focused team, you will apply your expertise to help deliver innovative commercial SATCOM capabilities, integrate a transformative COMSATCOM business model into the broader SATCOM enterprise, and translate complex operational needs into effective, affordable solutions. In this role, you will work directly with COMSATCOM customers and stakeholders, providing trusted guidance, insightful analysis, and clear recommendations that drive real-world impact in a rapidly evolving space domain. Job duties include:


  • Provide engineering analysis on commercial narrowband technologies, including mobile SATCOM services, terminals, multi-orbit capabilities, and emerging commercial solutions.
  • Assist with development of narrowband acquisition strategies by contributing technical research, market analysis, and engineering recommendations.
  • Conduct technology assessments and market research on narrrowband providers, service offerings, and mobile communications capabilities.
  • Develop, review, and maintain engineering documentation, briefings, technical analyses, and architectural products related to narrowband solutions.
  • Support solution development across the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements definition, technical evaluation, and award support activities.
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings, industry engagements, capability demonstrations, and government reviews to evaluate relevant technologies and services.
  • Coordinate with program, engineering, and acquisition teams to support delivery of effective narrowband solutions aligned to mission needs

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering, telecommunications, computer science, aerospace, or a related technical discipline.
  • minimum 5 years of relevant experience in satellite communications, systems engineering, telecommunications, defense acquisition support, or a related field.

  • Working knowledge of satellite communications systems, engineering documentation, and technical analysis methods.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to support briefings and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with broader teams. 
  • Ability to support on-site client meeting within the National Capital Region.

  • Direct experience with narrowband, MUOS, or commercial mobile SATCOM equivalents (e.g., Iridium ).
  • TS/SCI preferred
  • Familiarity with narrowband provider business models, service provisioning, and mobile terminal certification.
  • Experience with SATCOM requirements definition, waveform integration, and tactical communications planning.
  • Masterโ€™s degree in engineering, systems management, or related discipline.

The salary range for this role is $75,000- $125,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
