THE ROLE

Our hotel team is seeking a Night Auditor who will be responsible for overseeing and completing a variety of critical financial tasks, ensuring accurate accounting and efficient daily operations. This role combines aspects of accounting and guest service, requiring a detail-oriented individual with a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

What we will ask of you:

  • Balance and reconcile all daily financial transactions, including guest accounts, food and beverage outlets, and front office accounts.
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Process guest payments and ensure proper credit card and key control procedures are followed.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Respond to guest requests such as wake-up calls and express check-out bills.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential guest records, adhering to all data security protocols.
  • Provide accounting support to the hotel, ensuring accurate revenue posting and daily guest ledger reconciliation.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient guest service.
  • Follow all established policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

Requirements for Success:

  • Minimum one year of experience in a hospitality or similar environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays and Sundays, Mondays and holidays.
  • Strong accounting principles and attention to detail, with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent time management and self-supervision skills, ensuring tasks are completed on time and accurately.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional education or training in accounting or hospitality is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook preferred.
