Job Description: Night Auditor 


Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Night Auditor to oversee the overnight front desk operations of our hotel. This position combines front desk duties with basic accounting responsibilities to ensure accurate and smooth hotel operations during the night shift. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent guest service while balancing and reconciling the day’s financial activity.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist guests during check-in, check-out, and throughout their stay.
     
  • Perform end-of-day accounting duties including auditing daily financial transactions and reconciling accounts.
     
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports to hotel management (e.g., occupancy reports, revenue summaries).
     
  • Ensure all front desk tasks are completed accurately and on time.
     
  • Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications as needed.
     
  • Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and emergencies in a professional and timely manner.
     
  • Monitor hotel safety and security overnight; report any incidents or irregularities.
     
  • Balance cash drawers and prepare deposit slips for accounting.
     
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance as necessary to resolve guest requests.
     
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
