Job description

Love working with numbers and double-checking the details? 7 Cedars is hiring a full-time Revenue Auditor to help keep our financial operations accurate and compliant! You'll be responsible for auditing daily gaming and non-gaming paperwork, reconciling account balances, and investigating discrepancies behind the scenes. Perform clerical/technical support services as assigned, including verifying and documenting financial transactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Able to perform the accounting opening process according to established procedures.
  • Perform daily revenue audit(s) and related tasks per checklists.
  • Ensure gaming revenue audits are completed in accordance with established standards.
  • Compile monthly spreadsheets to accurately record revenue, discounts, vouchers and/or promotional expenses.
  • Review, reconcile and record variances (over/shorts and error notes) daily, and advise Accounting Manager if a pattern is detected.
  • Balance revenue audits monthly to related worksheets, prepare journal entry and enter data into the accounting system.
  • Balance clearing accounts related to assigned audits.
  • Properly record customer point redemption and company gift card redemption and/or purchases.
  • Prepare paperwork for payment of Tribal taxes collected by revenue centers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Operations data.
  • Update Excel files for changes and ensure data flows accurately to the monthly journal entry.
  • Able to be held accountable to a high degree for accuracy and thoroughness ensuring integrity of reports.
  • Assist in researching differences between report totals and actual revenues.
  • Assist with updating department audit standards and checklists.
  • Assist all Team members as necessary.
  • Attend all mandatory and non-mandatory department meetings.
  • Must become familiar with the casino's Title 31 Policy, Training Program, documentation and filing requirements.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow all general and department policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associates degree in Accounting or three years accounting experience required.
  • Must have the ability to identify problems and determine solution.
  • Must have experience with a variety of accounting software packages.
  • Independent, flexible individual with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must have excellent computer skills including Excel, Word and MS Office.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, calculators, copiers and facsimile machines.
  • Ability to cross train and assist other revenue auditors.
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members.
  • Strong organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of operational instructions in mathematical form and deal with several variables.
