Audiology Assistant Position

Evolution Hearing, an Audiology practice in the Charlottesville, VA area, is looking for an Audiology Assistant to join our team and provide support services and assistance in the delivery of our services to the hearing impaired. We have been helping patients in our community since 2012 and we are passionate about providing both the best hearing healthcare technology available and the best patient experience possible.

This position is an essential part of the practice, ensuring the delivery of our patient services, and is a full-time role, Monday โ€“ Friday from 9AM โ€“ 5PM.

The following DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES are central to the role:

  • Inventory and supply control/management.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of all Audiology equipment at end of each workday.
  • Contacting patients to confirm appointments, schedule fittings and managing repairs.
  • Providing hearing aid care & use instruction to patients.
  • Maintain Audiology files to include price lists, mailings, and physician referrals.

To ensure success candidates should also possess the following EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of the needs of the patient population being served (prior medical office experience preferred).
  • Proficient with current technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Familiarity with insurance benefits and payment options (ICD-10 coding experience preferred).
  • Hearing aid repairs and cleaning.
  • Ordering and analyzing both new and repaired aids.
  • Ear mold adjustments.
  • Demonstration of hearing aid accessories and other assisted devices.
