Job Summary/Basic Function
The WVPAC Support Technician's primarily responsibilities are to setup, operate, maintain, and strike events in the Winter Visual & Performing Arts Center's venues. Level 1 vs. level 2 hiring is based on prior experience and current knowledge.
Required Qualifications
  • Have prior experience with Audience or Talent Management, Audio Recording or Reinforcement, FX, Lighting, Costuming, Properties, Networking, Rigging, or Video equipment.
  • Have a positive attitude, and the ability to work well with other students, staff, faculty and the general public.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Being accurate and attentive to detail
  • Customer-service oriented

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in troubleshooting, programming, and repairing Audio, FX, Lighting, Costuming, Properties, or Video equipment and systems.
  • A background in the Live Performance & Entertainment industry.
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA

Job Duties
Possible duties include:
  • Back-of-House Management, Front-of-House Management, etc.
  • Setup, operate, maintain, and strike equipment and venues.
  • Update and maintain all paperwork, and/or other systems which allow other workers to successfully perform their duties.
  • Cross-train with other production departments and equipment.
  • All other duties as assigned.
