Position Description:

The Educational Media: Student A/V Technician(s) will assist in providing technical support in classrooms and/or event spaces on campus. Support tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Turning audiovisual equipment on/off in classrooms and event spaces on campus
  • Assisting users with the technology in classrooms and/or event spaces
  • Troubleshooting audiovisual equipment issues
  • Setting up audiovisual equipment (microphones, projectors, etc.) for classes and events

Additionally, they may provide administrative support to the Educational Media department. Administrative tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering phones
  • Greeting visitors to the office
  • Taking detailed messages for staff follow-up as necessary
