We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/ Field Technician/ Sr. Field Technician for our Dubach, LA location.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

To carry out daily operation and maintenance tasks associated with the Sharon pipeline system in the Sharon Area. This position will be responsible for environmental, health & safety and pipeline and compressor operations for natural gas transmission through the pipeline system. Specific duties will consist of, but are not limited to, valve inspection and maintenance, tank gauging, pipeline locating, pipeline patrolling, and one call duties for the pipeline. This position will be responsible for performing all assigned construction duties as well as preventive pipeline maintenance and operations related to meter station, corrosion control, and right of way maintenance. This position will be responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, as well as emergency response. In this role, you will also be responsible for regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance, and repair procedures associated with DOT, industry standards, manufacturer, and company guidelines as they relate to facility equipment and appurtenances. This position will be expected to respond to call-outs and be on a call-out rotation related to pipeline and compressor station activities. Qualified candidates must live within 30 miles of the Sharon Compressor Station to respond to call outs expediently. A successful candidate will be required to complete Core Blocks in Safety, Environmental and Company policies and procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Physical requirements - standing/walking; climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolds; bending/stooping/squatting; carrying and lifting items 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet
  • Working conditions - exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures and enclosed spaces
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent verbal communications skills
  • Problem solving skills and ability to manage filing system
  • History of safe work
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Current Drivers License with clean record.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working with natural gas pipelines and compressor facilities as well as familiar with DOT 192 Regulations
  • College or technical school degree
  • Mechanical and/or Electrical degree
  • Mechanical and/or Electrical industry related training

  • High School Diploma

  • Associate/Technical Degree
