Job Summary:
SCD Information Technology is seeking a skilled and proactive Sr. Network Engineer responsible for designing, maintaining, implementing, and troubleshooting client networks. The role involves working collaboratively to provide cutting-edge solutions and customer service, with a focus on completing customer projects and solutions, prioritization, planning, and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design, implement, and support LAN, WLAN, and WAN network infrastructure.
โ€ข Serve as technical escalation point.
โ€ข Create and maintain technical and process documentation.
โ€ข Troubleshoot infrastructure related hardware or network connectivity issues.
โ€ข Perform testing and validation of new hardware and code.
โ€ข Lead the design, test, and implementation of network proposals.
โ€ข Provide consultation support to internal and external partners for network infrastructure design and enhancements.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 10 years of experience in a computer related field.
โ€ข JNCIP or CCNP (Required)
โ€ข Experience in production network environments.
โ€ข Experience in the configuration and deployment of Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba switches, routers, and wireless access points.
โ€ข Experience with the design, troubleshooting and configuration of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, MPLS, and Spanning Tree.
โ€ข Experience with leading the design and delivery of network projects.
โ€ข Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
โ€ข Experience with the creation and maintenance of documentation such as operating procedures and network diagrams.
โ€ข Strong customer service skills.
โ€ข Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills.
โ€ข Strong time, priority, and task management skills.
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks concurrently with minimal supervision.
โ€ข Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science or engineering related field (Preferred)
โ€ข JNCIE or CCIE (Service Provider Preferred)
โ€ข ITIL 4 Foundation (Preferred)
โ€ข Familiarity with enterprise and user networks a plus.
โ€ข Python and Ansible experience a plus.
โ€ข Previous experience with Metro Ethernet networks and infrastructure a plus.
