Summary

We are seeking a board-certified Infectious Disease Physician to join our growing telemedicine team. As a Remote Infectious Disease Telemedicine Doctor, you will provide expert virtual consultations to patients across diverse healthcare settings. You will play a critical role in diagnosing and managing infectious diseases, guiding treatment protocols, and supporting primary care teams remotely through secure digital platforms.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide patient audio/ visual telemedicine consultations via an onsite telemedicine cart.

• Diagnoses and manage a wide range of infectious diseases, including but not limited to HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, tuberculosis, sepsis, travel-related illnesses, and emerging infections.

• Review medical histories, lab results, imaging, and other relevant clinical data through EMR platforms.

• Prescribe appropriate treatments, medications, and follow-up.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams and offer clinical guidance for infection control and antimicrobial stewardship.

• Document consultations clearly and accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Submit billing charges within billing software as required.


Minimum Job Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school. Board-certified in Infectious Disease (ABIM or equivalent).

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in infectious diseases (telehealth experience a plus). Ability to work a minimum of 7 shifts per month.

• Ability to navigate various EMR/ EHR systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing/documentation.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work.

• Knowledge of global infectious disease trends and travel medicine.

• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions in virtual settings.

• Strong people skills with the ability to communicate effectively and to develop strong working relationships with clinical and administrative teams.
