Job Summary
The Part-Time AV Technician supports all audio-visual equipment operations at Amerant Bank Arena, including hockey games, special events, press conferences, and watch parties as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Set up projectors, screens, mixers, microphones (wired and wireless), speakers, and cable management for events and functions
  • Operate and configure Allen & Heath and Behringer X32 digital consoles
  • Navigate Dante and QSys (QSC) platforms
  • Set up and operate press conferences as needed
  • Make and run cables including SDI, coax, ethernet, and XLR
  • Build LED walls for events and assist with watch party setups
  • Install televisions throughout the venue as needed
  • Additional projects, tasks, and events as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • 4 years of AV installation or production experience preferred but not required
  • Basic working knowledge of signal flow for troubleshooting gear
  • Ability to read and interpret event documents, equipment manuals, and installation manuals
  • Able to work independently and with urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Reacts well under pressure and adapts to changes in the work environment
  • Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions promptly
  • Customer service-oriented with a fan-friendly attitude and professional appearance
