Primary Objective:
The Sales Engineer II is a senior technical sales professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to drive complex sales opportunities. This role requires advanced knowledge of Spectrio's products, services, and solutions with the ability to design, present, and deliver integrated systems that meet and exceed client requirements. The Sales Engineer II will lead technical discovery, system design, and solution validation for strategic opportunities while mentoring Sales Engineer I team members.
In addition to a strong command of Digital Signage Systems and 70 volt Audio Systems including design, troubleshooting, deployment, and integration the Sales Engineer II will serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and customers, bridging the gap between technical capabilities and client needs. This role works closely with Sales, Product, and Implementation teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to delivery and plays a critical role in driving successful sales outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
  • Partner with Sales leadership to qualify complex opportunities and lead technical discovery sessions with customers
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives to develop solution strategies that align with client needs, business goals, and project requirements
  • Design advanced, customized solutions for Digital Signage and 70 volt Audio Systems including integration with partner systems and third party platforms
  • Lead technical aspects of proposal development, including RFP responses, statements of work (SOWs), and solution presentations
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for strategic and high value accounts, ensuring solutions are technically sound and positioned for client success
  • Drive solution adoption by clearly demonstrating technical capabilities, operational benefits, and value to the client
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and solution adjustments during the pre sales process to address evolving client needs
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and implementation teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, cost effective, and scalable
  • Maintain expert level knowledge of Spectrio products, competitive offerings, industry trends, and emerging technologies to strengthen sales positioning
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, diagrams, and workflow processes for complex system designs
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Sales Engineer I team members, supporting skill development and technical problem solving
  • Conduct training sessions for internal teams and customers on technical solution capabilities and best practices
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision makers, technical influencers, and end users to identify and pursue future opportunities
  • Continuously identify process improvements, tools, and technologies to enhance solution delivery and sales team effectiveness
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in low voltage audio systems, digital signage design, or a related technical field
  • 4 to 6 years of industry sales engineering experience with a proven track record in complex solution design and delivery
  • Advanced expertise in designing, integrating, and troubleshooting Digital Signage and 70 volt Audio Systems
  • Proficiency with CRM, collaboration, and productivity tools. Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite preferred
  • Demonstrated success in working with cross functional teams to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional results
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and coach junior team members
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business focused solutions for customers at all levels
  • Proactive, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
