About the Job:

The Foreman oversees all aspects of installation at Summit Integrated project sites, ensuring the completion of AVL system installation projects on time and within budget, in accordance with industry standards and project plans. The Foreman is responsible for final sign-off on the quality of work completed by their crew, ensuring it meets Summit's established standards. This position leads a team of technicians on-site and communicates technical information to clients, Summit staff, and AVL technicians. The Foreman consults with installation leadership regarding technician performance and identifies skill gaps or areas for improvement. All essential functions must be performed without endangering the health and or safety of the individual or others.

Responsibilities :

  • Verify that all aspects related to the installation quality of work on-site meet the Summit Standard of excellence. Document all installation work in the field through Summit inspection processes, capturing high quality photos & videos for Summit records, and sign off that we have completed the full scope of work. Responsible for the successful completion of the CERTIFIED process.
  • Develop comprehensive installation plans, including detailed task breakdowns, as well as daily and weekly schedules that meet critical project requirements. Document real-time progress & remaining effort to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on time - Responsible for managing an efficient & effective crew so actual labor hours match expectations.
  • Prepare trailer pack sheets to account for all necessary products and materials, facilitating efficient and effective installations per Summit standards. Keep track of all Summit property & Client products throughout the installation phase of the project. Supervise the loading and unloading of project trailers at Summit HQ and on-site. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient work environment.
  • Organize and prepare pull sheets for field wire pulls, ensuring they align with the schematics. Verify that all wires are pulled to the correct locations, accurately labeled, neatly dressed, and within length specifications. Document all testing efforts to ensure wires pass termination testing and to confirm the infrastructure is fully functional.
  • Own all rigging aspects of the project, ensuring safe and effective implementation per Summit's Rigging Manual. Implement rigging solutions that meet project needs, adhere to weight load and installation parameters set by Summit and hardware manufacturers, and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations on-site by communicating and enforcing safety standards. Develop Jobsite Safety Plans, Job Hazard Analysis's, conduct regular toolbox talks, and adhere to all safety and health protocols established by Summit. Supervise the safe operation of aerial scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, scaffolding, and ladders in accordance with OSHA standards
  • Coordinate with Summit Project Managers, general contractors, trades, and clients to convey technical details and essential project information, ensuring a clear understanding of project requirements and progress. Verify that all work performed by others complies with ExC requirements and aligns with Summit design documentation.
  • Directly Supervise technicians labor efforts on-site - Assign clear daily tasks for completion, establish recurring jobsite duties, provide direction on installation methods & establish stable daily routines in line with expectations set by leadership. Manage technician behavior on site, ensuring we are operating in line with Summit values. Report ongoing personnel issues to installation leadership.
  • Engage in all project meetings, 1-1s, town halls, company wide events & other meetings as designated by leadership. Maintain active login credentials for company tools, stay updated on schedules, and submit PTO/RTO requests. Assist with events, shop assembly, warehouse, and custom fabrication as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Hours are variable, and will frequently be required to work overtime while on-site, followed by periods of unpaid time off. Hours generally average annually to 1 full-time employee. Required to be available for work seven days per week, Monday through Sunday
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • OSHA-30 Certification, Aerial Scissor, Boom and Forklift Certifications. Current DOT physical and Safety Certifications. (May be provided by Summit)
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in AVL system installation or a similar technical field. This experience will cover areas like wiring, terminations, rigging, and field installations. Proficiency in using tools and equipment commonly found in AVL installations. Familiarity with industry standards including safety protocols and regulations relevant to AVL system installation

This position has the following mental capabilities and cognitive requirements:

  • The ability to understand and solve problems, multitask numerous activities/projects and handle unexpected situations with calm and good judgment.
  • Adhere to routine verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Working under deadlines with speed and accuracy.

Working conditions:

  • Occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds to shoulder height and overhead
  • Occasionally push, pull, or move up to 90 pounds on carts, and carry or move up to 50 pounds over short distances
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, or move for 8+ hours, including bending, twisting, reaching (forward and above the head), crouching, squatting, stooping, and kneeling
  • Ability to climb and work at heights of 6+ feet, including the use of ladders or steps

Work Location: In person, based from our headquarters in Colorado. This is primarily a traveling position, estimated at 32 weeks a year of travel.

Job Type: Full-time, exempt

Total Cash Compensation : $74,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year, based on experience
