Job description

Position: Radio Production Associate
Department: Radio Operations
Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Executive Producer - Radio
Status: Game Day (Seasonal)
Position Summary
The Radio Production Associate will work as part of the Radio Operations division of the Tepper Sports & Entertainment Broadcast department, creating team-produced programming with distribution through multi-media outlets including content for radio and digital platforms. The position will be responsible for the day-to-day production of the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC podcasts. The position will assist with the production of programming, imaging, commercials and promotional announcements for Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC audio broadcasts. The position will assist with the scheduling of commercial traffic in broadcast logs. The ideal candidate for this role should have a passion for radio and audio production, a creative mind, attention to detail and the ability to produce content from ideation to delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop and implement the production of podcasts for delivery on digital platforms
  • Make editorial decisions regarding content and assembly of programming
  • Create and edit engaging production elements including podcast opens, commercials, promos and music beds
  • Assist with scheduling of commercial traffic in broadcast logs
  • Assist with production of Charlotte FC game broadcasts and Carolina Panthers game day programming
  • Other duties assigned as necessary

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcast/Journalism, Communications, Audio Production, etc. or equivalent professional work experience in a related field
  • Proficient in using Adobe Audition digital audio editing software
  • Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
  • Problem-solver who can produce quality content and stay focused under tight deadlines and shifting conditions
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and work well with others at all levels
  • Must be flexible to work weekends, nights and/or holidays when necessary
  • Must exhibit team work, reliability and dependability
  • Must pass pre-employment screens

Essential Functions
  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time throughout the day.
  • Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.
  • Operates in a professional office environment.
  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment
  • Lift at least 30 pounds

Work Environment
This job operates mostly in an office environment and outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions.
