Job description

Summary:

Crescent Events Production is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Audio / Video Production Engineer to help deliver outstanding live event experiences.

This role is responsible for supporting the planning, setup, operation, and breakdown of live audio/visual productions across corporate events, live broadcasts, and hybrid productions.

The ideal candidate is a technically skilled problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys working with cutting-edge production technology, and takes pride in delivering exceptional event experiences.

You will work closely with production teams, project managers, clients, and venue staff to ensure every event runs smoothly and reflects the high standards of Crescent Events Production.

NOTE: This position is subject to an extensive background check.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Professionally represent Crescent Event Productions (CEP) at all times
• Set up, operate, and break down professional audio systems for live events
• Serve as an on-site audio/visual technician supporting live event production.
• Support event execution as a technical director when assigned.
• Operate audio, video, and broadcast production systems during events.

• Assist with event setup, rehearsal, operation, and breakdown.
• Ensure proper signal flow and system functionality before and during events.

• Troubleshoot technical issues during live productions.
• Operate company Box trucks( 26' and up) and vans safely and professionally
• Pull, stage, load, and secure equipment for events
• Receive, inspect, and quality-check equipment returning from events
• Maintain inventory accuracy in IntelliEvent rental software
• Maintain organization of warehouse, storage, and office spaces
• Provide general operational and office support as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Successful candidates demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to perform under pressure. This role requires adaptability, effective communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Required:

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Drive and operate company trucks and vans safely and professionally

Preferred:

  • OSHA safety training
  • AVIXA CTS certification
  • Broadcast or streaming production certifications

Strong familiarity with:

  • Professional audio/visual equipment
  • Video switching and signal routing
  • Live event production systems
  • AV troubleshooting and system setup

Preferred experience with:

  • Broadcast production systems
  • Live streaming platforms
  • Video switching and streaming encoders

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Broadcast Production
    • Video Production
    • Media Technology
    • Communications
    • Related field

OR

  • Equivalent professional experience in live streaming, broadcast production, or video production.

Typical experience requirements:

1–3 years experience in:

  • Live broadcast production
  • AV system operation
  • Broadcast or streaming environments
  • Corporate event production

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
