Job description

MissionHires is seeking an on‑site Electrical Engineer (Hardware Verification) in Rochester, NY to join a Hardware Design Verification and Validation (HDV) team. You will design, automate, and improve RF test and measurement systems for complex military communications/networking equipment, drive continuous improvement of measurement algorithms and reporting, and collaborate closely with electrical and systems engineers. US Citizenship required. Direct hire with salary plus benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Design and automate RF test and measurement systems for complex military communication/networking equipment
  • Continuously improve measurement algorithms, techniques, and reporting to enhance quality and reduce overall test time
  • Consult and collaborate with electrical engineers and broader engineering staff to evaluate measurement techniques and operational data
  • Develop, debug, and maintain software for control/automation of test and measurement equipment (NI LabVIEW and TestStand)
  • Utilize and integrate RF/baseband test equipment (spectrum/network analyzers, power meters, DMMs, oscilloscopes, audio analyzers)
  • Apply object‑oriented programming and design (OOP/OOD) principles to test automation solutions
  • Use software management tools (e.g., SVN/Git, JIRA) for version control and workflow management
  • Document test methods, results, and reports to meet quality and compliance expectations
Requirements
  • US Citizenship
  • On‑site in Rochester, NY (no remote)
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience; or Graduate Degree and at least 2 years; or 8+ years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Hands‑on RF and baseband test and measurement experience
  • Proficiency with NI LabVIEW and TestStand for automated test development
  • Experience with RF/baseband test equipment such as spectrum/network analyzers, power meters, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and audio analyzers
  • Proficiency with Object‑Oriented Programming/Design (OOP/OOD)
  • Familiarity with software management tools (e.g., SVN/Git, JIRA)
  • Strong ability to analyze measurement data, validate techniques, and communicate findings to engineering stakeholders
