Summary: The Production Intern is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in live church production while serving the mission of Faith Church. This role works alongside experienced Production Team members to support worship services, events, and other ministry environments.
The Production Intern will learn and assist with audio, lighting, and other production technologies while developing practical skills in live production, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in production and wants to grow their experience in a supportive, hands-on environment.
This is a flexible part-time position. Scheduling can be tailored around the right candidate's availability, with regular participation in weekend worship services and additional opportunities based on campus needs and the candidate's availability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist the Production Team with audio, lighting, and other production needs during worship services and events.
  • Learn and develop hands-on skills in live audio, lighting, and production systems.
  • Assist with setting up, operating, and tearing down production equipment for services and events.
  • Serve alongside Production Dream Team members and staff to help create excellent, distraction-free worship environments.
  • Assist with basic equipment maintenance, organization, and preparation.
  • Learn how to operate production equipment and software under the direction and training of experienced Production Team members.
  • Observe and assist experienced team members with sound checks, rehearsals, services, and special events.
  • Help troubleshoot basic production issues and learn how to identify and communicate equipment or technical concerns.
  • Participate in training and coaching designed to develop technical skills and confidence in live production.
  • Assist with keeping production areas, equipment, cables, and workspaces clean, organized, and ready for use.
  • Support Production Team projects, installations, and other assignments as opportunities arise.
  • Work cooperatively with Production Team members, Worship staff, Dream Team volunteers, and campus leadership.
  • Demonstrate a teachable spirit, reliability, servant-hearted attitude, and willingness to learn.
  • Be available to serve during weekend worship services and occasional special events based on the agreed-upon schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment (routinely uses standard office equipment) and auditorium setting in an audio booth and equipment.
Physical Demands
Office time is mostly a sedentary role (stationary at desk and working on a computer); during services and events, must have high energy for multiple hour segments. Must be able to load in and load out speakers and equipment for portable campuses in a quick time frame.
Scheduling
We understand that our interns may be students, have another job, or have other commitments. Our goal is to create a flexible schedule that works for the right candidate while meeting the needs of the campus. Weekend worship services are an important part of this role, with additional hours available for training, rehearsals, events, and production projects based on the candidate's availability.
Travel
Campus to campus local travel and occasional overnight trips will be expected for this position.
Preferred Education and Experience
  1. Previous church production experience is helpful but not required.
  2. Basic technical experience is helpful but not required.
