  • 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.
  • 5 years of experience with Android application development.
  • Experience working with embedded systems, or audio technologies.
  • Experience designing business system solutions and partnering with product owners and engineering implementation teams to prioritize requirements and define the delivery roadmap
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 10 years of experience in delivering consumer electronics products, feature roadmaps, or audio technologies.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Specialization in Audio processing, system optimization, performance tuning and market delivery.
  • Embedded development with strong sense of engineering power, latency, performance tradeoffs.
  • Ability to navigate software stacks and frameworks, from embedded systems to higher level applications; connecting software stacks to deliver end-to-end user features.

  • Collaborates with ML research, technology development and Product Management teams to define the roadmap of audio features for Pixel devices.
  • Implement experiences and features direct, working with codebases throughout the stack from embedded to high level OS application.
  • Decomposes projects into sub-components for team members to deliver.
  • Designs shippable solutions that fit within extremely constrained compute environments, respecting power, performance, latency and user experience tradeoffs.
  • Obsesses over Pixel Audio quality, polishing and perfecting product to create delightful audio experiences for users.
