Position Overview

We are seeking a Text-to-Speech (TTS) Audio Operator to handle audio recording, editing, packaging, and asset inventory management. In this role, you will provide critical local support to manage high-volume Quality Control (QC) and packaging deliverables. This role will take ownership of specific language tracks to ensure premium quality for our large-scale data collection and upcoming English TTS production and localization projects. This role is based in Burbank, CA.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate various production tasks and fulfill project requirements.
  • Prepare scripts for recording sessions.
  • Ensure all lines of the script are recorded within acceptable level tolerance.
  • Ensure all lines are performed with the intended voice direction.
  • Ensure all recordings meet the studio quality expectations.
  • Record remote talent via remote recording platforms.
  • Edit, consolidate and deliver voice recordings.
  • QC actor recordings, provide feedback to the production manager and/or to the talent directly.
  • Assist in supervising day-to-day studio operations.
  • Assist Production Manager with voice talent performance management.
  • Exhibit a high level of efficiency and professionalism when communicating.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years working in either localization, production and/or post-production.
  • Thorough understanding of localization and production workflows, standards/technologies.
  • Understanding of technical audio postproduction workflows and specifications.
  • Deep understanding of Pro-tools and recording techniques for ADR, Dubbing and Narration.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, problem-solver; team-player.
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Competency in spreadsheet software and e-sign platforms (Office, GSuite, Adobe etc.).
  • Fluent English speaker (professional/working level) required.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.

This role is based in California and the base pay range for this role is $35.00 to $44.00 per hour. Actual amounts will vary depending on education, skills, experience, and geographic location.
