What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work!)


In this Systems Engineering role, you'll play a crucial role as a key member of the team where you'll have the exhilarating opportunity to make an impact, entrusted with the vital task of defining and securing approval for system components - from requirements and designs to interfaces and test procedures.


But that's not all! You'll be creating documentation that bridges the gap between hardware and software developers. This isn't just a job; it's your chance to leave a lasting mark, driving projects and transformation!


Required Skills


– Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) — Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-oriented Architecture (SOA), etc.


– Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents


– Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components


– Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination


– Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerations


Desired Skills

• Circuit Switched and Mobile Telephony signaling types, networks and systems, including audio encoding/decoding (7 years)
• Specific communications protocols (e.g. GSM, CDMA, 5G, HTS, etc.) and associated community tools
• Application Development for ipv4 and ipv6 packet switched networks (i.e. L2, L3), protocols (i.e. VOIP) and technologies (VPNs, encapsulation)
• Digital forensics tools such as Wireshark
• Deep knowledge of the OSI network stack and associated protocols across layers 2-7.
• All protocol stacks for data transfer, to include but not limited to Routing protocols, Encapsulation, Tunneling and encryption, legacy protocols (i.e. SONET)

• Experience with JIRA, Atlassian Suite


Qualifications

– (10) years’ experience

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
