Job description
Reports To: Banquets Manager, Captain
Supervises: N/A
Summary of Position
Oversees and performs all A/V needs, including but not limited to installing, setting up, connecting, testing, cleaning, maintaining, operating, assessing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and tearing down all audio and video equipment and all applicable peripherals, cabling, and connectors required for events, such as music concerts, sporting events, virtual classrooms, conferences (online and in-person), banquets, entertainment shows, special events, etc. Performs work with the following equipment, including, but not limited to, overhead and portable projectors, video screens, sound systems, microphones, sound mixing equipment, recording equipment, conferencing equipment, amplifiers, overhead and portable speakers, lighting, and a variety of audio/video cables, connectors, adapters, and peripherals.

- Maintain high level of positive and professional communication with team members, management, and Internal/external guests
- Check equipment and room setup against Banquet Event Orders to ensure accuracy and communicate any additions or deletions to Supervisor/Manager
- Install and test operation of all necessary equipment for each event
- Tape down and dress all loose wires and cabling during setup
- Instruct guests on proper usage and operation of installed A/V equipment
- Assist guests with troubleshooting any problems they're having with any A/V equipment
- Break down, remove, secure, and clean/maintain equipment when not in use
- Must be flexible with work schedule as needs can vary depending on business requirements which includes working weekends, nights, holidays, extended hours, and on-call as needed
- Meet with Clients prior to actual event or at scheduled time.

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required; Reliable and self-disciplined with strong communication skills; Aptitude for electronics ; Ability to work well in a high pressure environment; Possess good time management skills; Must have a high level of attention to detail; High work ethic with proven effective problem-solving skills; Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, and positive attitude; Strong customer focus with commitment to providing a high level of customer service ensuring satisfactory resolutions; Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a team environment; Required to adhere to all business policies and procedures; Must comply with dress code requirements at all times; Previous experience with Casino/Hotel Resort A/V operations is a plus; Mescalero Apache Tribal preference, bicultural experience preferred; Meet and maintain MATGC licensure requirements; Must have negative drug/alcohol test
