Job description

Reporting to the Clubhouse Manager, the Audio-Visual (AV) Support Technician provides operational support for the Club's audio-visual services by assisting with the setup, operation, monitoring and breakdown of AV equipment for member events, meetings and Club functions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up, test and break down audio-visual equipment for Club events, meetings and functions
  • Assist with operating audio, video and presentation equipment during events as directed
  • Perform sound checks and equipment testing prior to events to ensure proper functionality
  • Monitor equipment during events and communicate any issues promptly to the AV Technician
  • Transport, organize and properly store AV equipment before and after events
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of AV storage areas, equipment and workspaces
  • Assist with routine maintenance and preventative care of AV equipment
  • Assist with monthly AV equipment inventory and report damaged or missing equipment
  • Run and secure cables safely while maintaining a clean, professional appearance in event spaces
  • Follow room diagrams and event specifications to ensure accurate equipment placement
  • Coordinate with Banquets and other departments to ensure timely event setup and execution
  • Provide courteous assistance to members and staff with basic AV needs under the direction of the AV Technician
  • Follow all Club policies and OSHA safety requirements when handling equipment and completing installations
  • Support small equipment installations and other departmental projects as assigned

Qualifications
  • Previous experience with audio-visual equipment, live events, hospitality or event production preferred
  • Basic understanding of audio, video, microphones, projectors, displays and presentation equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn AV systems
  • Able to troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate more complex issues appropriately
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays based on Club event schedules
  • Able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds; move rolling equipment cases and transport AV equipment throughout Club property; stand and walk for extended periods climb ladders and safely work at heights; bend, kneel, reach and perform repetitive physical tasks; work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
