We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.
We are currently seeking an ADR Engineer to join our Sentai Operations team in our Houston, Texas location.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Record, edit, synchronize, normalize, level, eq, sweeten and correct dialogue and other audio assets using Pro Tools and other professional recording, mixing, and mastering solutions
  • Work closely with ADR Director to ensure that dubbing, recording, and voice timing meets company's high standards; provide feedback at all stages of the recording process; spot QC recordings
  • Utilize knowledge of studio equipment, mic placement, acoustics and professional sound recording techniques to ensure high quality voice recordings and other audio performances
  • Maintain proper audio file management and organization consistent with company procedures
  • Prepare Pro Tools projects for Mix/Sound Design; develop/implement macros, templates, short-cuts and other quality + efficiency enhancing tools
  • Trouble shoot and report any issues with equipment or software to management
  • Maintain studio cleanliness and promote professional work environment for actors and visitors

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of ProTools experience and & working studio experience as a recording engineer, mixing/mastering engineer, or a similar role.
  • Time Management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of detail and organization while adapting to changing and evolving workflows and procedure
  • Software or Technical Skills: Pro Tools proficient, Izotope RX and other Pro Tools Plugin experience, Mic placement for vocal recording experience, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Bachelor's Degree in Audio Engineering or similar

The base compensation for this position is $54,000 - $56,000 commensurate with experience.
