About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled AV Installer to join our Engineering department. This full-time, hourly position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with audiovisual installation projects. As an AV Installer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the seamless setup and support of AV systems, delivering top-quality service to meet the needs of our clients. This role is perfect for individuals with a knack for troubleshooting and a passion for technology, providing an essential foundation for professional growth in the AV installation industry.
What You'll Do
  • Properly wire and install audio and video systems, video conferencing systems, and control systems.
  • Run and terminate various types of cabling.
  • Properly use required tools, including power and hand tools.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and make repairs as necessary.
  • Accurately document the installation.
  • Maintain safe and secure work site and driving habits.
  • Read and understand building plans and AV drawings.
  • Demonstrate great attention to detail, timeline and quality of work.
  • Interact with clients in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner at all times while troubleshooting and instructing them on the use of their systems.

Qualifications
  • At least 1 year experience or training as an AV installer or equivalent experience. IT/MIS experience would substitute.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Power User level computer skills.
  • Good time management.
  • Excellent communication skills - clear, direct, detailed.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated to get the job done right the first time.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and teamwork mentality.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Able to lift 75 pounds.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders.
