Job Description
Works independently and with other team members to install equipment, program systems and lead Residential AV projects. This position has authority-level knowledge of Residential AV systems, equipment and commissioning projects. May be responsible for leading, training and mentoring less experienced Technicians.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provides Project Manager with daily project status updates
  • Maintains Project documentation on a daily basis
  • Site walkthroughs with Project Management, Sales and Clients
  • Completes quality control checks using Job Form
  • Employs project management principles to successfully execute AV projects on-time and within budget.
  • Exhibits professionalism and provides excellent customer service
  • Acts as a resource for Residential AV technical knowledge
  • Completes complex, multi-room AV installs, setups and calibration
  • Control system and theater room installations
  • Satellite/Cable systems setup
  • Advanced troubleshooting of simple and complex systems
  • Advanced networking/data system installs, set up and deployment
  • Program automation, lighting, shading, surveillance and security systems
  • Design, populate and wire full-sized equipment racks
  • Coaches, leads, trains and mentors less experienced Technicians
  • Complete Fusion required training and certifications; maintain certification levels for all position requirements
  • Adheres and maintains Fusion quality standards

Job Requirements (or Comparable Certifications)
  • Minimum 5 years AV field experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • PCNA Certification (or comparable)
  • Control4 Automation Programmer Certification
  • Lutron RA3 Certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and organized; multi-tasker
  • Self-motivated, task driven, and able to apply "best practices" theory
  • Strong problem-solving skills; creates in the field solutions
  • Ability to work 4/10 schedule
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to travel overnight for training and installations as needed
  • Maintains valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record
  • Proficiency using hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts and at high elevations
