Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions seeking an experienced Audio Visual Programmer (Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior) to join our team in Herndon, VA. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-visibility projects by providing expert programming and architectural support for audio-visual systems. You will be responsible for ensuring successful outcomes for our customers and end users, with a focus on Crestron equipment and environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency in A/V programming and system design, contributing to innovative and reliable solutions. Position Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and test high performance AV solutions for government customers.
* Generate custom audiovisual system designs using Crestron technologies
* Support customer stakeholder meetings to collect and document or validate system requirements
* Research, identify, and recommend technology options to solve customer problems
* Support onsite deployment of AV systems and system configuration phases
* Coordinate with customer facilities teams and other onsite sub-contractors and vendors during systems installation as required
* Support the development of end-user training materials and operations and maintenance plans
* Perform in-house testing and on-site commissioning at client locations
* Develop expertise in the industry through continuing training, certifications, and review of trade publications
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): * This position requires an Active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
* Willingness to obtain a Counterintelligence Poly (CIP) or already have a current Counterintelligence Poly (CIP)
* Level 2: 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Proven experience with Crestron programming and system environments
* Proficiency in modern programming and scripting languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, and Visual Basic
* Experience in system integration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex A/V systems
* Hands-on experience with network programming
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Familiarity with systems engineering principles and integration best practices
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): * Level 3: 3+ years of related systems design and integration experience, or equivalent education and experience
* Level 4: 5+ years of related systems design and integration experience, or equivalent education and experience
* An Active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance and current Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP) is strongly preferred
* Experience translating customer requirements into software designs
* Knowledge of software systems configuration management
* Experience with C# programming
* Experience with object orientated programming
* Experience with HTML/web programming (for user interface design)
* Crestron Gold level programming Certification or higher
* Experience working with local and remote teams
* Experience interfacing directly with all levels of staff and management
* Experience working as a member of a development team
Compensation: Medical, dental, 401K PTO and Holiday Pay $130,000 - $200,000 based on experience
