The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.
Audi San Diego has an outstanding opportunity for a skilled Mainline Technician to join the Holman family.
***Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus based on qualifications. Relocation assistance available***
Pay Range: $33-$50 per flat rate hour
What do we have to offer?
  • Audi-specific training offered- We fast-track certifications and cover training costs, travel, hotel, and meals. Currently, 41% of our technicians are Master level or higher.

  • Structured team environment- Five teams supported by five team leads and two shop foremen. Team leads dispatch work and provide clear workflow reporting to each technician-ensuring transparency and fairness with no favoritism.

  • Strong mentorship culture - Apprentice technicians benefit from a highly supportive and well-established mentorship program.

  • Yearly compensation review - We take your pay seriously and conduct yearly compensation reviews to ensure we stay competitive in our market.

  • Structured pay plan - Immediate updates in pay when certification or experience milestones are reached.

  • Schedule - Technicians are scheduled 8 hour shifts plus a 1 hour lunch, with the option to work additional hours if preferred.

What will you do?
The Mainline Technician must be experienced in the following areas:
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards

  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair

  • Maintain leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials

  • Keep shop area neat and clean, and be able to account for dealership tools at all times

  • Road-test vehicles to ensure of quality repair

  • Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry, as well as in the diagnostics arena

What are we looking for?
  • 1 year or more of automotive mainline technician experience

  • Luxury brand experience is highly desired

  • Technical Auto training or Audi certifications, ASEs are a plus

  • Valid Drivers License, a clean MVR or minimal violations

  • Willingness to undergo our background requirements
